funny yet also kind of depressing…very eye opening. everyone should see this movie!

David Byrne was just as magical as I hoped he would be and we had amazing seats! Our own little box right next to the sound guy! Only downside was that we missed the first couple minutes and the sound guys just so happened to be a total ass.
The next week me, Natalie and John saw Kathy Griffin at DAR Constitution Hall. Me and Natalie LOVED every minute of the show but I think there were a few times when I saw John’s eyes just kind of glaze over. Oh well… he was probably the only straight guy there and I think some of the stuff just went right over his head.
Biggest news of the past couple weeks is I got a new job! I’ll be working on site at USPS for akqa . It is super exciting! Check it out…

tomorrow night…lyric opera house…8pm…it’s going to be magical. MAGICAL

this movie was hilarious and everyone in it was great.
especially john malkovich and brad pitt.

i have been wanting to get a tattoo of those little brown birds you see everywhere for such a long time. (they are actually called house sparrows) i have always liked watching these birds hop around, roll in the dust and do all the other cute little birdy things they do. my friend carrie finally recommended her friends at ghost town in ellicott city. jon glessner did my tattoo and i love it! (it looks a little crusty in the pic… still peeling)

Zeni sent me a link to this today and I have to say this is almost as a cool as an iPhone (if I ate bacon)… It’s called the Wake’n'Bacon. It’s an alarm clock that with a built in bacon cooker that makes your bacon before you even wake up. (photo from www.designboom.com)

So Me and John broke down and got iPhones today, waited in line from 8:00am -10:00am this morning to get them. Initially I was very against the whole iPhone trend. I hate being around people who spend the whole time on their phones playing with the internet and email when there is a real live person right in front of them. But I also really hated the crappy service we got with T-Mobile so we found a way to avoid early termination fees (T-Mobile is raising their text message rates at the end of August which is a breach of contract) and we got our new phones! I’m not going to lie they are pretty awesome.
Haven’t had much time to play with it though cause I had to take little Simon to the vet again. Seems his anal sacs are bothering him..poor little guy! So they gave him a silly little collar to wear so we won’t lick himself. Let’s just say he is not too happy about it

This year John gave me the best birthday present EVER… two little kitties! Meet Simon and Nola!
I have a quote in this month’s On Tap Magazine about the X in DC event I participated in. Wowee!
